COVID -19: We will rise again

COVID-19 – a disease that has caused much fear
An unknown virus that is troubling and so unclear
This disease has caused chaos; some are lost

With unity and the ‘can-do spirit’ that we embrace
Together as a nation, as a world, we will run the race
Supporting one another, all challenges, we will face
Never give up, fight on, do not be disillusioned
Work with the government, help find solutions

Healthcare workers tirelessly going the extra mile
Taking care of the sick, doing so in such great style
At all times, trust in the power of prayer
Be kind to one another, show love and tender care

From this dark episode, there will soon be light
So, always observe proper hygiene habits
Day in day in, day out, doing our part – bit by bit
When things go wrong, collectively, let’s put it right
Coming together with the never -say -die attitude
For in the long run, there will be much gratitude

From afar, we shall see that beautiful rainbow
Hey! Soon the world will recover – for I see smiling faces all aglow
Here they come, standing in line, row by row

During any crisis, we can triumph and stand tall
Even in the process when we trip, tumble and fall
Adopting the spirit of ‘one for all’, and ‘all for one’
For the way to succeed– is to be second to none
